What to Expect

Make the most of your free consultation by being prepared:

In order for us to give you an estimate, we need to understand the scope of your project.

If possible, send a concise statement of your study objectives and research questions by email ahead of our consultation.

If you have already collected data, please include the data in your email, along with a description of how it was collected and (in the case of pools or psychological studies) the survey instrument that was used.

What to expect from us:

Your data and your contact information will be held in the strictest confidence. We are familiar with the ethical requirements for human-subjects research, and with FERPA and HIPAA protection of records.

You will receive regular updates as our work for you progresses, and professionally presented results in a mutually agreed upon form. You will be advised of any variation from the estimate before costs beyond the estimated amount are incurred.

We normally require 50% of the estimated cost before beginning work, and the balance upon completion. We prefer payment through Paypal, but can accept bank wire transfers or paper checks. (Checks must clear before work will begin.) You will be billed in US dollars, but we are happy to work with customers from any country.

Most work can be performed entirely over the internet, communicating by email, phone, or video conference. If you require us to travel to your site, travel cost and per diem will be charged at the current GSA CONUS rates.
